Set within a quietly spiritual farmhouse surrounded by greenery, Light & Lineage is a
renovation rooted in preservation, sustainability, and memory. Rather than starting from
scratch, the design builds upon legacy. Many of the existing wooden columns were
evaluated, restored, and retained, minimizing material waste while honoring their
emotional and structural value.
Only what truly needed replacing was touched. New Armani marble flooring was proposed to
brighten the interiors, adding clarity without overshadowing the home's spirit.
The client, deeply connected to faith and tradition, envisioned a space that felt
peaceful and prayerful. This led to sacred visual moments, like the Rama Pattabhishekam
mural that centers the living space and the pichwai Krishna tapestry near the dining
area, each placed with purpose and devotion.
In the bedroom, a handcrafted terracotta tile ceiling was suggested not only for its
warm texture, but for its natural cooling effect. Even without air conditioning, the
space stays comfortable longer, reflecting how vernacular wisdom can support modern
comfort.
Every design decision here is guided by quiet intention. This is a home where elegance
and emotion meet, where heritage is not recreated, but revealed with care.
